David DaviesDr David Davies graduated as a veterinarian with first class honours from Perth’s Murdoch University in 1992 and worked in general veterinary practice in Adelaide and the UK for several years. David’s period of specialist training was also undertaken at Murdoch University from 2000-2002 and included stints training with international specialists at Massey University, New Zealand and the Royal Veterinary College, London. 

David returned home with his family in November 2002 to establish an internal medicine referral service at AVSARC. After passing examinations in July 2004 David became a Fellow of the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists (now the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists) and South Australia's only registered specialist in Canine Medicine. 

David has published papers in national and international peer-reviewed veterinary journals and remains active in local and national continuing professional education and Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists examinations, in addition to his clinical work at AVSARC.

David sees some of the sickest pets and is passionate about providing them with the highest level of medical care possible, working collaboratively with his colleagues in AVSARC, AEC and general practice to achieve this aim. Pets and their owners are treated with compassion and respect in often difficult circumstances.
