Dr. Andrew Dunn



Andrew graduated with first-class honours from the University of Sydney in 1995 and spent several years in mixed practice in Southern NSW and Southeast SA before working in England for three years.

He returned to become a partner in a general practice in Coffs Harbour, NSW, before taking up a small animal surgery residency in 2007 at the University of Sydney and the Small Animal Specialist Hospital (SASH) in Sydney. There he completed a three year Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists specialist surgical training programme. In 2011, Andrew joined the surgical team at the AVSARC.

Though Andrew been working full time in specialist referral practice since 2007, he is not a registered specialist. Andrew has authored and co-authored eight publications in the peer-reviewed scientific literature in the areas of cruciate ligament injury, developmental orthopaedic disease, reconstructive surgery, orthopaedic cancer, orthopaedic diseases of the pelvis, and surgical biology.

His professional interests are spread across orthopaedics, neurosurgery and soft tissue surgery.
