Dr. David Davies

Specialist in Canine Medicine.
David graduated as a veterinarian with first class honours from Perth’s Murdoch University in 1992 and worked in general veterinary practice in Adelaide and the UK for several years. David’s specialist training at Murdoch University was completed in 2002 and also included stints at Massey University, New Zealand and the Royal Veterinary College, London.
David established the internal medicine referral service at AVSARC in November 2002 and has been South Australia’s only registered specialist in Canine Medicine since 2004.
David has authored publications in both international and national peer-reviewed veterinary journals, is active in the provision of continuing veterinary education to colleagues and as an examiner for the next generation of specialists.
David sees some of the sickest pets and is passionate about providing them with the highest level of medical care possible, working collaboratively with his colleagues in AVSARC, AEC and general practice to achieve this aim. Pets and their owners are treated with compassion and respect in often difficult circumstances.
